Hi Visitors,
Trying to get back at writing posts for this blog, have to say: anything written harvested immediately by AI is a bit of a downer. But somehow this post turned out to be spot on two years after it was written, so onward ‘we’ write.
Had some ‘adventures’ with Claude for server setup which got a sudden death when Claude regarded SSL as an afterthought, flipped out. Server work is not for me, it seems that whenever i get something fixed it’s too forward and gets de-fixed. Like with Nextcloud, had it working encrypted, suddenly it bugged out. Same goes for Fedora: installed latest version, everything works encrypted. But i need to buy an AMD miniPC for Linux or graphics are a fraction of their windows speed.
Trying to come to terms with my very messy ICT history, trying to enjoy what i’ve learned so far and realise what a great time i had when the internet was still blogworld with lots of interesting things to read and a whole lot less social and AI mess.
Don’t feel politically comfortable to write freely with the fascist uprising in America – and Europe. When the AI bubble bursts, when everything Open Source is re-commercialized, when there’s a bunch of techbros actively destroying anything authentically internet build or written, when even memes go sour with fascist ‘humor’, why not just give up?
Because there’s 3D printing! It’s offline! It does funny_things! (read next post)
